Volunteer Training – Older Adults and Depression

April 24 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Presented by Bryan Godfrey, MSW, LCSW

Depression in seniors is common, and it often goes undiagnosed and untreated. The good news is that with proper evaluation, treatment, resource connection, and other changes, almost every senior with depression can live a happier life. In this webinar, we’ll explore common causes of depression, its signs and symptoms, and how volunteers can take action to improve a patient’s chances for recovery, while still respecting necessary boundaries and taking care of themselves.

This training is offered only for active volunteers of The Center for Volunteer Caregiving. The sign-up link for this training is in the newsletter emailed to all active volunteers on or about the 15th of every month. Contact Caley Henley at chenley@ctrvolcare.org if you can’t find the sign-up link.
