Virtual Music Therapy and Respite for Family Caregivers
April 27, 2021 –
Connect your care recipient to an hour of music with professional musician, Sam Marion. Sam performs a variety of musical styles and sing-a-longs (including Broadway, movie songs, big band, patriotic, folk songs and country songs). He has been providing musical experiences for elders at retirement communities, adult day care centers, and assisted living facilities in the Triangle area since 1986.
While the care recipient has an engaging activity to participate in, family caregivers can use this time as a period of respite. Music therapy is particularly beneficial for the care recipient with dementia.
This class will meetĀ online via Zoom November 10, December 8, and then the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays through September 2021. All classes will meet at 2:00 pm.
